Live Visuals / Fête de la Musique 2025 (c/o Synthicide)
This piece was minted as a field sigil — a fragment of projection, performance, and glitch ritual stitched into code.
Minted on: June 27, 2025
Origin: Synth Pocket Stage, Manila
Performing live visuals this June 27 for Fête de la Musique 2025, invited by Synthicide, Manila’s long-running DIY synth collective. This is a community-driven participation, not a funded embassy gig — there’s no honorarium, just friends with wires, gear, and heart. I’m traveling from Amadeo to Manila with gear, and I’d rather not end the night stranded with machines at 2am.
Support helps cover: hotel stay, safe transport, food, and presence. I rarely say yes to live events, but this one felt right. Any tips go to sustaining this moment — and the long journey beyond it.
Prepping VJ set using Resolume Arena, custom loop packs, glitch overlays, and reactive shaders. Tech test ongoing — syncing with Korg NanoControl2 via MIDI mapping. Projector + LED screen output path confirmed.
Lodging planned at Citadines post-performance due to late schedule and gear safety. Visuals are a mix of sacred geometry, databent clips, and Tezos-era sigils re-encoded. Runtime expected: 20–25 minutes set with possible improvisation.
This piece was minted in the days following sudden escalations in the Middle East, with U.S. and Iran entering a volatile phase of conflict. As war headlines circulate, this sigil holds space for a parallel kind of response — one of clarity, grounding, and creative resistance.
I believe that artists, especially those outside the “center,” must be allowed to signal for safety without shame. Our rituals are not distractions — they’re documentation. Witnessing matters.
If you find this and you’re also scared: breathe. The world hasn’t ended yet. And even if it does — we left trace.
“Not every ritual needs a buyer. Some just need to be witnessed.”
